Ryan Schlomer

Sr Software Tester

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Ryan Schlomer, and I bring over 17 years of expertise in software testing to the table. From manual testing of web and Windows applications to dabbling in automation with Selenium and C#, I’ve been involved in various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. Whether it’s agile, waterfall, or something in between, I’ve got it covered. Explore my site to learn more about how I can assist with your testing needs. Check out the Blog Page for examples on testing and automation and to learn more about me.

Expertise Areas

Over 17 years of software testing experience.

Manual Testing

Manual testing web applications is what I excel at, but I have experience testing web applications, Windows applications, Windows services, web services, APIs, Excel and PDF report outputs, database migrations, and database imports. Most of these I just consider an extension of the web application or the project as a whole.

Software Development Life Cycle

I have been involved in most aspects of SDLC throughout my career: Some requirements gathering, test cases and testing estimation, some coding, testing (obviously), deployment and production verification, and maintenance.

I have experience with waterfall, agile, scrum, and the ones in between.

Automation

I use Automation in a broad sense and not to only include web page automation. I have some experience using Selenium and C#, but I have lots of experience with other types of automation.

I wrote a tool for automating web service testing and tools for data comparing and data generation. I am a tester and not a Sr Dev, so in situations where some help is needed, I’m not afraid to ask the dev lead for help. Lately, I’ve been using ChatGPT instead and figuring things out.
